HONER

For one of our Client in Leighton Buzzard (Bedfordshire), we are looking for skilled honer.

Requirements:

• Experience of honing (essential)
• Must be familiar with Sunnen and / or Delapena machinery, Sunnen, Delapena or similar abrasive tooling.
• Experience of work within a machine shop environment with an extensive knowledge of the different honing techniques and processes including horizontal honing, vertical honing, tube & hand honing (essential)
• Experienced in using gauging and measurement equipment required for verification including Bore Micrometers (Bowers / Diatest) and Surface Finish testing
• Must be used to working to micron tolerances (+/- 0,005mm)
• Must be used to working to excellent surface finishes of 0,05.
• Knowledge of Sunnen EC machinery would be an advantage as would a familiarity with CNC controls.
• Worked within a machine shop environment
• Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running


Our Client offers:

• Salary from £22,000 - £25,000 plus night shift allowance
• The position is full-time and permanent and an immediate start is available.
• Hours are is Monday – Thursday 4.30pm-3.30am
