The Assembly and Testing manager, Dublin, Ireland

For one of our Clients in Dublin we are looking for The Assembly and Testing manager.

The Assembly and Testing manager reports directly to the Operations Director and works closely with other functional leaders in the company, including those in Design, Quality, Production & sales. The manager will oversee both the assembly and testing functions within the company.

Responsibilities:
o Manage the Assembly and testing Function within the business
o Co ordinate all projects within the department to ensure on time delivery
o Overall responsibility for the assembly and testing of our tooling to our customers within our current agile delivery process.
o Co coordinating testing of tooling
o Development of training plan for team
o Work with manufacturing, design and quality to ensure on time delivery
o Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, for all projects
o Ensure that the product is assembled and tested to meet our customer requirements
o Ensure all processes are in place to deliver right first time tooling to our customers
o Responsible for outputs from the Assembly and testing functions
o Manage projects to optimise productivity
o Set Target and goals for departments
o Establish best practice working processes
o Establish KPI’s for all areas of the department and manage same
o Manage the team to ensure that developmental needs are identified and supported
o Ensure training plans are in place for all staff
o Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and functional

Requirements:
o This company requires an experienced manager who has a track record in building strong production teams and delivering quality product to an international client base.
o This executive will be a key member of the management team and will have a number of years previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing company
o The executive will have a keen understanding of the latest technologies and development tools
o This will be a senior manager in the company, managing a team of 15+
o Solid understanding of engineering technical issues/needs and engineering and design best practice
o A BS in Engineering, MA or BA preferred
