Manufacturing Supervisor, Dublin, Ireland For one of our Clients in Dublin we are looking for Manufacturing Supervisor. The role of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to ensure right first time tooling are delivered on time to both the internal and external customers of Prodieco. Be part of the Manufacturing Supervising Team and lead a manufacturing team ensuring company goals and objectives are achieved by working in line with the company’s values and behaviours Help implement a Lean culture within manufacturing department to ensure quality is achieved, costs are controlled and all aspects of waste are eliminated The Manufacturing Supervisor will report to the Manufacturing Manager. Key responsibilities: • Health and Safety o Ensure all health and safety procedures within manufacturing team are adhered to • Quality o Ensure right first time components are delivered to both internal and external customers o Action NCRs’ and Customer complaints identifying close outs o Ensure team KPI’s set around quality are achieved o Ensure all reporting staff are trained and certified to the required levels o Conduct in process verification ongoing to ensure procedures are being adhered to • Schedule o Ensure schedule adherence o Work with planning department to identify schedule issues o Ensure on time delivery to internal delivery dates • Team Building o Coach and support direct reports o Provide positive and negative feedback to reports ongoing o Work with the supervising team to generate training plan for team • Performance o Be responsible for outputs from the Manufacturing Team and ensure optimal performance is achieved o Review staff within team addressing any quality and/or underperformance issues that may arise through the investigation procedure o Achieve machine optimisation KPI’s o With the Manufacturing Manager, set KPIs for the individuals within the department related to performance and ensure these are managed accordingly • Equipment o Ensure all health and safety aspects of equipment are in good condition o Ensure staffing levels for manufacturing team are correct and machines are staffed correctly o Ensure all equipment within team is maintained and operational minimising any down time. • Continuous Improvement o Set SMART objectives for team based on quality and performance o Define and deliver on continuous improvement projects o Supporting any projects related to process improvements Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Supervisor • Reduce the number of non-conformities and/or customer complaints related to the team • Increase the throughput and OEE from the department to achieve agreed targets • On time delivery to internal schedule • Implementation of training program Competencies required • Ability to develop a team • Apply a systematic and logical approach in order to get things right. • Enjoy the challenge of problem solving and come up with well thought through practical solutions. • Be a self- starter in order to achieve tasks and overcome problems as well as provide direction for others. • Assert authority when necessary and always strive to achieve timescales and deadlines in order to overcome problems. • Be proactive and energetic in the work situation, seeking to get things done and at the same time deal with a variety of tasks. • Adopt a serious and questioning manner in order to assess situations and come to conclusions, thus basing the process on facts and information gleaned from others.
