Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker (Polish Speaking)

Job Description

This service brings support to those who are long-term rough sleeping, who are not engaging with available services, or who have been serially excluded and need support even to take up basic support or housing options. Our Rough Sleepers Outreach Worker engages people through street work; meeting people where they are at, while signposting them to relevant agencies and services and appropriate accommodation.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

You will work primarily from our Day Centre in Slough, meeting with Polish people sleeping rough and you will also be working early morning and late into the night identifying people new to the streets and those entrenched. Following strict lone working protocols, you will act upon reports provided by Day Centre users, the public and partner agencies. You will build relationships with individuals and work in partnership with drug and alcohol services, mental health services and the Police, to deliver a service that provides vital regular contact.
