CNC operator / setter

Staff Finders Yorkshire LTD are currently recruiting for the following position:

CNC Operator / Setter

Job Purpose: To produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintain quality and safety standards

Duties:

-Planning machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

-Programming mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches, calculating requirements.

-Verifying setting by measuring positions, first-run part and sample workpices.

-Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.

-Working to customer drawing and specifications with the minimum of supervision following training.

-Working to tight tolerances and checking your own work.

Only candidates with good level of English.

The above position is based with one of our Clients in Aberdeen.

We are able to help candidates with relocation and accommodation.

Pay rate will depend on experience - £16 - £20 p/h
