Welder/Fabricator

Job description:
Fabricator for agricultural cultivation equipment manufacturer, welding large frames as well as smaller components from engineers’ drawings. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with the ability to multi-task. Comfortable working with large steel sheet and frame work. The candidate should be able to work independently and figure out the best way to set up for a job. The ability to read engineering drawings is essential and a particular attention to detail is required.

Previous experience:
Required
MIG Welder/Fabricator
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Working with heavy fabrications, 6-20mm mild steel including wear plate materials

Desirable
Experience of agricultural industry
Fitting
Use of jigs

Pay expected: £12-13.20 per hour dependent on experience

Overtime paid at standard rate and expected in busy periods

Qualifications: A relevant engineering qualification e.g. Apprenticeship or NVQ 3 desired
