CNC Turner Operator/Setter, Fanuc, Hertfordshire, UK


For one of our Clients in Hertfordshire (Hitchin area) we are looking for full time CNC Turner Operator/Setter

Requirements:
• At least 3 years experience as CNC Turner
• Experience with setting CNC Lathes
• Very good knowledge of Fanuc control
• Very good knowledge of technical drawings
• Ability to set and make corrections in programs (Fanuc)
• Experience of using bar feeders
• Experience in machining a wide variety of materials. Aluminium, various stainless steels, exotics, mild steels and plastics
• Be able to check own work using micrometers, verniers, gauging etc
• Experience in Aerospace industry would be an advantage
• Good communication skills

Tasks and duties:
• Operating and setting Haas CNC Lathes SL10 and ST20T SSY with Fanuc controls
• Adjust wear values to maintain in tolerance components
• Understanding of when inserts require changing
• Ensuring the correctness of the technological process
• Controlling of quality using precision measurement tools
• Keep their working environment clean and tidy using 5S and Lean methodology
